One of those things that always surprises me is meeting famous people, and realizing that I tower over almost all of them. (Remind me to tell you about my meeting Mark Hamill someday.)

I prefer the term loom…
I’m used to towering over everyone, but somehow, you really expect Hollywood folks to really be larger than life, particularly when you have no point of reference for scale.

I’m 4’11” too! We may have to ask Danny DeVito to reach for things on the shelves that are too tall for us, but we’re the same height as Veronica Lake AND Judy Garland!

I was trying to impress upon my 6′ stepson that there was nothing that he, being male, could do that I could not. He reached up to the top shelf, and looked at me very innocently, and said “Nothing?” So much for my equality speech.
