It is so fun being in the know about this.

“I could take you down in a word…no six.”

  2. So far as Google can tell me, only geeks who live in the UK or who are watching pirated Dr Who are allowed to laugh at this.

(who can’t wait for the new Dr Who to hit the Sci Fi channel in March)

  3. Somebody’s seen a certain show starring David Tennant….

..and we’re not talking about Casanova either.

BTW, Sci-Fi Channel will be airing the first season of the new show in March on Friday nights at 9 PM ET.

  4. UmberGryphon,

Those of us in the U.S. who live near enough to Canada to pick up the CBC have also seen the recent season of _Doctor Who_.

    Joe Nazzaro,

good question about Harriet. The Eccleston Doctor said she served three consecutive terms, but it’s clear that in “The Christmas Invasion” she’s only recently taken office in her first term. So, either the Tennant Doctor changed history; or he essentially fired a warning shot, by using six words that would set her back a bit, but not _the_ six that would bring her down.

On the one hand, this “warning shot” is hard to accept, because he was _very_ pissed at her. On the other hand, demonstrating that he _could have_ taken her down, but didn’t, allows him to maintain the moral high road.

    Glenn,

Yes, I think Bush looks tired. Cheney, too. And everyone else in the line of succession until we get somebody we can trust not to screw up the country.

Yeah, I know. Good luck with that.

    Rick
